Step outside the front door and the view opens immediately: dry stone walls, a valley floor of vivid green patchwork fields, mature woodland stretching toward the forest on the horizon, and a sky that seems larger here than anywhere else.

Opening September 2026 – Blackburn Cottage is a traditional white rendered Scottish cottage, fully renovated to offer a contemporary, considered interior without losing an ounce of its character. An oak-framed porch with a sage green door opens out into a garden that falls away toward the valley view, and inside, the log burner is already waiting. Sleeping up to four guests, it’s the ideal base for couples and small groups who want to be properly immersed in the Scottish Borders, without roughing it.
