Opening September 2026 – Perched above the valley with open views across the Scottish Borders, Blackburn Cottage is a lovingly restored two-bedroom retreat. Once a traditional farmworker’s dwelling on the Blackburn and Hartsgarth Estate, it has been thoughtfully reimagined to offer a warm, characterful escape rooted in the landscape around it.

Step inside to find a space where craftsmanship and comfort sit side by side. Dark green shaker cabinetry anchors a well-appointed kitchen, while herringbone oak floors run underfoot and a wood-burning stove offers the kind of warmth that only open fire can. Every finish has been chosen to honour the cottage’s heritage without sacrificing the ease of a well-equipped modern home.

Outside, sweeping moorland and native woodland stretch as far as the eye can see, with the sounds of birdsong and running water replacing the noise of everyday life. Whether you are watching dawn break over the hills from the gravel path or settling in by the fire after a long day on the estate, Blackburn Cottage offers something increasingly rare: genuine stillness, in a landscape actively being brought back to life.
